We are all looking forward to hearing how different you find a gen 2 GTS to a gen1 SD

Noisier, faster, thirstier!

He might miss diesel torque, PPF mean no increase in noise, dislike having to rev the car harder to make the same progress and struggle to get on with the newer tech and complicated screen settings etc!!

My first was an SD and I cannot think of a time in my GTS when it felt inadequate; yes, maybe a bit more kick-down or a pull on the left paddle in anticipation. Not driven a phase 2 2.9 so you could be right about the noise.
