I have a number plate which may interest someone on here.
It’s SM17FEE
It came with the Macan I purchased just over a year ago and the previous owner was a Mr smith.

I’ve had appraisals from plate dealers and they have come to a price point of £1000-£1500
But I would be happy to do a deal around the £800 mark.

Sorry to say Uni but I think the dealer mislead you.

There are almost 50 plates for sale by the DVLA starting SM17 F** and a large number of SM17 H** plates for sale for much less.

I think party of the appeal of the number is that SM17FEE could be interpreted as SMITHY or SMIFEE - one for Gavin and Stacy fans. Value is what someone will pay for it.....

Think this plate is meant to read something, Like "Smithy", ok for Mr Smith with a cryptic mind!

I appreciate all the above points as to the pricing of number plates as it’s such a minefield.
I’ve always said that a plate is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it! In this case the plate is meant to read smithy or smifee as cockney slang And as now people are calling me that it’s time for the plate to go. I’ve also known people pay upwards of 40k on a plate to as little as £100 but as I’ve seen a plate that means something to me now I thought I’d test the water. And there’s always the opportunity to make an offer.

There is always a buyer for something like this but it's a matter of reaching them. Good luck

Thanks you are absolutely correct there Vanb hence me putting it out on different platforms to see if there’s any interest.
