I use the SC quite a lot on my GTS very easy to move between modes. The button called Sports Response is great for a quick overtake as immediately drops it a couple of gears for 20 seconds.

Air suspension gets a thumbs up as well. I have the 20 inch spyders

Is there no paddle shifter on the new models?

2 x USB-C ones in the MY20 GTS that I own.
Is that with smoker pack?
Steve's car, like mine, is a 2020 MY. The configurator is showing the 2021 MY which is what you get if you order now.

Yes but changing gear with the paddle shifters is not the same as selecting sport (or pressing the sport response button).

Our S is on 21s and air.

My 992 needed warranty work so they let me another Macan on 21s and no air

Low speed ride was noticeable worse

On the S/c. Done to death on here and everybody has a different opinion. Pointless on Macan I feel and just because there is a rotating switch it still goes back to Normal mode on my 992 so you’ll have to turn it to where you want anyway - goes straight to sport as soon as I start it in my case in the 992

Do you have Sport Plus on your GTS?

If you had to rate "oomph" on a scale of 0 to 10 where 0 is comfort and 10 is sport plus, where do you feel Sport would fit on your GTS?

I'll be honest, I don't know why anybody would buy a car without sports chrono - I just see it as a means by Porsche to keep the list price down.

You're buying a performance car with a high insurance grouping, why would you not want all of the performance?

SC does not give more performance it just gives an alternative way to access it. 20 second boost is the same as flooring it without the timer - same power and gear drops. Setting sport on the steering wheel = same as pressing the sport button. So if you want to save £800 you just dont add it.

Like all options everyone is different. If you want to minimse depreciation dont add lots of options.

Not sure anybody claimed it is a sports car, it is however a performance car.

Our Macan has 600Nm of torque vs 540Nm in your 992 and 440hp vs your 450 - engine outputs are very similar and on a damp launch, the Macan would likely beat it off the lights.

Based on that, why wouldn't I want sports chrono to maximise performance?
