nice spec
when buying my turbo I looked at a volcano grey / SC in black and it looks excellent, esp with SC in black
Ioniser - occupies a blank button which makes it worthwhile IMHO
Does the other half drive the car too? Would want memory package.
I find AC excellent too

Ah yes - it’s probably the best colour/wheel combo I think.adam b wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 12:17 pm nice spec

Other half - no doubt she will if she comes into existence while I have the car Might actually be a useful thing to have.
One thing I don’t doubt is that it is a great car. I test-drove and put a deposit on a Turbo back in 2015 when I was on the verge of going from university to city job but the huge waiting list ended up spoiling that pursuit.
I seem to have gone off Adaptive Cruise as I’m yet to see a GTS on the second hand market that has it. It appears to be more of a regular Macan/Turbo feature than a GTS feature due to the increased focus on driving with this model.
Still torn over the wheels - love the satin black GTS wheels and the sport classics in equal measure. This is the main sticking point for me I think.
Though if I do go with the GTS ones I think I may also tick air suspension to hammer home the benefit in ride comfort.

I see where you’re coming from - and in such circumstances I could have the luxury of ticking air springs as well to further improve ride quality as it’ll still be in that “happy midpoint” £65k range with that.MikeM wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 9:26 am Definitely someone trying to hit a month/year end order target, for a March build the original 10 day estimate should have been more than adequate. Sensible spec though and far better than the previous +£13k extras for the “S”. Just IMHO could save further by going for standard black GTS 20” Spyders. Pure GTS, better ride and less paranoia for keeping pristine and fear of kerbing .
But on the other hand I don’t mind the ride on 21s with PASM only at all - it’s more than comfortable enough. And I think aesthetics/road presence is also an important consideration.

I know colour is a very personal choice but if road presence is important to you why are you going for Dark Grey?ghostwalker wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 3:35 pm

If I recommend Carmine Red or Sapphire Blue you could rightly accuse me of bias but they certainly give the GTS presence.

I see what you mean, though dark grey + big and preferably black wheels + red calipers has always been a favourite for me. Presence for me is not so much about being very easily noticeable, but more about “looking the business” in a smart and discreet but still fairly noticeable kind of way (if that makes sense).On-Track wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 4:34 pmI know colour is a very personal choice but if road presence is important to you why are you going for Dark Grey?ghostwalker wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 3:35 pm

I’m a big fan of Carmine Red in particular but it’s a bit too lairy for me to live with.

Had 21” on air with my previous Turbo a great ride also had Volcano ( best colour) but a GTS with 20” and air, perfect plus the ability to drop it even lower just Imho very coolghostwalker wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 3:35 pmI see where you’re coming from - and in such circumstances I could have the luxury of ticking air springs as well to further improve ride quality as it’ll still be in that “happy midpoint” £65k range with that.MikeM wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 9:26 am Definitely someone trying to hit a month/year end order target, for a March build the original 10 day estimate should have been more than adequate. Well I have my suspicions about GTS vs any other Macan driver. Its not exactly GT3 RS vs Carrera 2 type difference, I think people like the GTS badge and the look and extra kit (just like you are doing vs an S) and it fits their budget, rather than being a different breed of driver. Its a two tonne SUV after allghostwalker wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 3:20 pm I seem to have gone off Adaptive Cruise as I’m yet to see a GTS on the second hand market that has it. Agree with tracky on black spyders, but that's personal. It's why that silver lip on the black SCs makes all the difference IMHO
