Wow thanks! Looks perfect - subtle but sporty 😍 I guess it’s the kind of thing that so many people resort to de-chromes to achieve because they don’t get that option from factory.

So I think we’ve got to give credit to Porsche for saying “there’s the car and now you can do what you want” in a way that the other German manufacturers just don’t. I mean I love your black on white spec - looks epic and gives the car a distinct look. And the same applies to the other examples posted on here. There is so much more beauty in individuality as opposed to having only a couple of colours and trim levels to choose from.
Yes, I think you’ll be happy with it. I had one of the first Volcano greys in the UK, ordered without seeing it on a car as there weren’t any at the time of release. Lots at the time thought it maybe to near black but it’s not, Personally thought it had a lot more depth and lustre than the previous Agate Grey. My current car is actually in Crayon but sometimes mistaken for white in low light. 😊

Ah of course, yes. The picture you posted previously went out of my head and the configurator makes it look white for some reason 🙄

Absolutely love crayon - it’s easily the one I’d choose over the other “special paints”. Determined to be bold enough to tick that box on the Taycan in future 🙌

Now with mine and @TonyGTS cars due at a similar time I’m wondering if lockdown coupled with Brexit red tape may delay things for us. We’ll just have to see 🤷‍♂️

Noticed this on the order form. With it being my first Porsche it would’ve been nice to have had some kind of experience to compare it to Audi/Mercedes 🥺 Probably would’ve sorted the spec earlier too 😂

Update: OPC have advised the car will be here next month and even gave me the option of collecting then.

Decided not to as I saw how Shmee (on YouTube) collected his Taycan in lockdown from a tent in the car park with everything just left there for him. Rather not do that and I’ve already booked everything for March end.

Good news for others though that their cars may also arrive early! And here I was reading about shipping container and chip shortages etc. But I think the VW Group brand hierarchy may have come into play for delivery timescales because I’ve heard about some delays at Audi.

Good news! My very recently locked spec is apparently for delivery end March/ start April. I can't see me getting the kind of jump forward you've had but I'd love it to be a bit earlier. A couple of months didn't seem that long when I placed the order but it already seems like an eternity! Would happily take delivery in a tent! Hope the EU don't put a block on exporting Porsches as payback for the vacines!

Reckon your delivery will be in the 1st half of March because mine only locked on 8th Jan and is looking like making it at some point in Feb.

Haha hopefully not. Quite a few manufacturers are suffering though - even Tesla, whose deliveries are usually quite quick from the point of order due to a strong flow of cars into the EU, are saying that it’ll be May before you can have a Model 3 Performance. That’s quite some retreat from normal service!

Porsche seem unaffected though. Also know someone who ordered a Urus in Sep 20 and is also getting it in a couple of months - much earlier than May/June which was quoted at time of order!

Goodness knows what’s happening.

I think what's happening is lockdown and people delaying placing orders because of it. I ordered my GTS on 13 March 2020, i.e. just before the original lockdown and it arrived on 5 August 2020 despite the Porsche factory shutdown. In the near seven months since, the car has done 2,100 miles (none since mid-December). I'm sure there must be many people who are delaying their orders until they can see a time when they can use their new car.

Good point - that may well be true. Here’s to many more miles when there are places to go in our cars again :D

Have just been wondering about tyres. As i understand it, Porsche seem to favour Michelin Latitude Sport 3 or Pirelli P Zeros for the Macan. The few new GTSes that are on the market seem to have one or the other.

Surely the Pilot Sport 4S tyre would be better? Suspect it may be worth fitting immediately unless it’s too extreme for an SUV that already handles as well as this?

Would be interesting to hear some thoughts :D

The Pilot Sport 4S is not N (N0) approved by Porsche for their SUVs.

My GTS came OE on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV. So far so good, but only done 2,500 miles on them to date.

Had Michelin Latitude Sport 3 on my SD. They were good and the first set did 18,000 miles.
