Ok appreciate no Macan can be considered low cost but this is relative to the cost of most GTS’. I’m close to finalising my spec and with a budget in mind but not thinking I’m missing much that I really want here is what I think is my final spec
PMY31115

The big item I’ve left off is the sunroof so it will probably be worthless in a few years time!

Everything is a matter of personal taste and choice. Personally, I don't think the aluminium gear selector looks as good as the standard item. Also there's something special (IMHO) about the dark brushed aluminium, maybe because it's the standard GTS item.

Still, don't listen to me, enjoy your car. BTW, whilst I think the sunroof is great, you're right not to spec your car for its next owner.

Hi, thanks for reply, I didn’t realise the standard was dark brushed aluminium. I thought it was gloss black I was trying to avoid inside as I’ve found it can scratch quite easily. I might make this change then on that basis.
Cheers

Personally wouldn’t bother with sport chrono. It’s a must on a 911 but not for a Macan.

Would use that money for the pan roof or for me which I wouldn’t buy without, it’s the PDLS+ lights.

Keep with the standard GTS black aluminium interior as it looks great and is very easy to keep clean. Nothing like a shiny black at all.

Agree with OP’s the standard brushed black finish is really good, would also agree on dropping the alloy gear selector 🤢and keeping within budget, switch for body coloured sport design mirrors to complement the dolomite exterior look. Certainly have a decent and sensibly costed spec, pan roof would be better but if you don’t want it? Or drop 18way and take standard plus memory package to keep the cost controlled. Whatever way, looks like a nice car 👍

Hi, regarding the light upgrade as suggested I was of the understanding that this was simply changing the surround in the car to a more black colour and the lights are exactly the same?

Overall I thought that was an excellent spec. I would keep the sport Chrono because this a GTS and on Gen2 cars you get the steering wheel mode switch which is very useful

That appears to be wrong. The "black " is standard on the GTS, print spec have as PDF and under standard items is

'LED main headlights in black including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) with static and dynamic cornering
lights, speed-sensitive headlight range control, adverse weather function, dynamic range control and 4-point daytime
running lights. "

The upgrade on the configurator appears to add the Plus which is "PDLS Plus also offers with this configuration a dynamic main beam control with continuous range adaptation based on prevailing traffic and navigation-based Intersection Assistant that activates the left and right static cornering lights for improved illumination of the surrounding area at intersections and junctions"

Very similar to the spec I am thinking of though might still go VG
I think the autodimming mirrors is a bit of a must and as my wife will be driving it a fair bit power assist steering.
If I was keeping to your budget i would sacrifice the seats and chrono plus for a GTS interior.
I am also now thinking of leaving sideblades black if I go DS to break up the side a bit.
I went along to Glasgow OPC on Wednesday to see a DS Macan.
Was also hoping to see a Crayon one but couldn't see any but did see a new Taycan in Crayon-lots of new Taycans getting dropped off from a transporter-I think the big tax breaks on them are working

My current Macan S has the 18 way seats and my GTS due next month has them too, they are superbly comfortable. Your spec looks good, only thing I would do is drop the aluminium gear knob and spend the cash on a spare wheel and auto dipping rear view mirrors. Sport chrono seems to be expected on a GTS but I’ve not specified it and if you’ve ever tried it you realise you are not going to use it in everyday driving on the road. Happy motoring.
