The dealer used some unknown brand that was a bugger to remove, it was applied over the paint swirls and not prepped properly. My Gtechniq coating took 5 days and £1100 to complete, partly due to having to remove the dealer rubbish first. For £660 I doubt it gtechniq and they certainly will not prep the paintwork correctly.

Definitely worth doing at a proper detailer outfit though.
£660 is what I was quoted for Gtechnig Platinum Service done by dealer which is I admit is not a full paint correction detail,

I would argue paint swirls show far more on the darker paint shades and hence with something like Crayon or Silver it may be less critical to get paint correction done.

Fair point regarding the colour. Mine is Gtechniq Crystal Serium (or however you spell it) on volcano grey.

Wouldn't worry too much about it being Gtech but more about who the operator is.
Lots of top quality products out there outwith Gtech .

Go to a proper detailer who does it day in, day out. Depending on where you are based you can get recommendations here.

Also another vote for ALA Gap insurance.

I had Gtech on my first Macan carried out by a local specialist he did body work and wheels for £600. Second Macan i was offered the Gtech for £600 but in the end it was included in the price. It was done at the OPC by a Gtech trained engineer. Exellent job . I would always have the coating as i drive around country roads a lot and find the coating makes the car easier to keep clean and it looks great.

Absolutely over the moon with it. 10/10 to Sean at Porsche Glasgow, and all the other staff there. It’s really great when effort is put in to make everybody (not just the purchaser) part of the experience! I’ll get some more photos tomorrow, with suspension in low mode, but for now I’m delighted with it and no regrets on the spec at all. Look at the dish on that rear!!! 😎

Looks fantastic.
Love the alloys and white discs.
Have seen a couple of Crayon GTS images with either your Spyders or the 21 Turbo alloys and both look really good.
As do the black spyders

Is that Taycan Dolomite silver?

Gorgeous, congrats! 😍 Very classy spec with the crayon and the 21” spyders.

Have only ever heard great things about OPC Glasgow. Had we not been in lockdown I probably would’ve purchased mine from there. An excuse for a trip to Scotland as well!
