Just had the call from my OPC to say that both May builds have been pulled forward and that mine which is June is likely to also come forward. Despite much debate about the pan roof I have decided to spec it so hoping this will be ok. I need to lock my spec in a week so have gone with this

Trying to keep it under £65k which I have just managed. Colour decided on process of elimination rather than desperately wanting silver.
Appreciate any comments or suggestions to confuse me one more time!

Interesting. Did they say why they were being brought forward?

Nope, afraid not, I just got the impression they were ahead of schedule in their build programme and this seemed fairly common for dates to move about.

Nice Spec Beaverman:

Essentially I would save money on the seats and keep with the standard GTS seats, add adaptive suspension, add Bose (standard system is ok but not great) , add Power Steering plus (cheap extra but nicely lightens up the steering at low speeds), automatic dimming exterior and interior mirrors (really don't know why Porsche just don't make this standard as for me it's an essential feature. Just over your 65k mark but will be a stunning car.
Hope that helps.

Nice spec
I'd add some sort of black on the side of the car just to break it up slightly
Either black wing mirrors-gloss black lower on the sport design ones would match in or the gloss black hanles
Lovely car though-I think the sunroof is nice just to give it the black roof look even if it's not going to be used much.

Not the best time to ask for suggestions everyone has an opinion could spend some more? PS Plus, light comfort package maybe but the overall look and spec you have is great, just IMHOBeaverman wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:18 am Just had the call from my OPC to say that both May builds have been pulled forward and that mine which is June is likely to also come forward. I've not driven a Macan with PS Plus, but can confirm mine without it is not heavy at all.

RE PS plus. It does depend on what you have been used to and the size of your wheels how light the steering gets. Mine has 21s with power steering plus and doesn’t feel light at any speed compared to previous jags and land rovers I’ve had. Also it could be psychological but when I don’t have it in the lowered suspension setting it feels a little lighter.
...Just no where near as light as a Macan loaner I had on 18s.
Worth noting it’s just a software update so can be added/removed by OPC post purchase for a relatively small cost.

On the seats, I think the decision between 8 way GTS and 18 way is very much a personal thing depending on shape and preference for fine adjustment. Also, the 18 way has lumbar support, the 8 way do not.
Personally, I would not be talked out of 18 way but it's a decision best made by the individual and at least now the showrooms are back open post lockdown.

I also kept to a £65k budget, you have chosen several common options to my spec - yours is a great set of options. Colour would be a problem for me too now sapphire dropped, might take the silver path too. White (metallic) looks good on a GTS too.Beaverman wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:18 am Just had the call from my OPC to say that both May builds have been pulled forward and that mine which is June is likely to also come forward. We differ on: roof rails, Sports Chrono and 18way seats. I would not get any of those if I were to spec again. I have no regrets on the options I chose and think the £6k option limit is sweet spot for a GTS. I didn't want pan roof initially, but its a good addition and as extra's go pretty good value for what you get, I would spec again.
I got 21" Turbo wheels, heated front screen, entry drive, dimming mirrors, PS plus, & GTS 8 way + seat memory,
If I were to suggest changes to your spec I would drop sports chrono & roof rails and replace with entry drive, dimming mirror's PS plus. I am not a black wheel fan, so went 21" Turbo's, however I do like the silver & black Spyders combo.
Once you get your car the options seem less important and you focus much more on the driving experience
