New gen Macan

Yep, waiting to hear about the new one. Local dealer reckons there should be an announcement around 20th July

Just a heads up that my dealer is confident there’ll be delays to the new gen production given the delays to the gen 2 models I.e. mine isn’t due to be completed until end of Sept so I can’t see how they’ll start producing the Gen 3 until Oct earliest…

Just an observation but if Porsche drop the Turbo from their new Macan line-up and increase the power output of the GTS it doesn't sit well for used prices for the current Turbo as there are a number of used one's on their site for over £80,000 and High 70's!!

I cannot see any "Gen 2" cars being built after the factory shut down and retooling at end of July. if I am wrong it will be the first time Porsche has operated like that. Any unfulfilled Gen 2 orders will become Gen 3 builds and yes component supply issues may mean some of those builds get continued delays.

so not sure if mon 19th or tues 20th

I would hope you're right, I'm not sure I want a current model right at the very end, just before the facelift comes. I don't know if my car is already part-built and sat waiting for chips for the 18-way seats, or whether my build has started at all. My spec is locked down, but the dealer has no idea when... and has no other dates to tell me, so it's just a right old mess. I suspect my car might be current version given the spec is locked in but won't arrive until Sept/Oct. The problem is, I just don't know!

Hi F1 Nut, so on your build the 18 way seats are shown unavailable and removed which is why I have had to wait for the next gen as I can't get on with the 8 way seat.
I bet we have to pay the full price increase with the gen 3 as I can't imagine them giving us any discount the wait!!!

I was told that because my order was in so early, the 18-way seats would be honoured, just that the configurator removes them whilst they are currently unavailable. When did you place your order?

I was told there would be a price rise on Gen 3 models - by Reading when I was ordering my Gen 2.
