I’m sure I could be wrong here….but, if cars were being delivered with bits missing or not as ordered or massively late I’m pretty sure reports would crop up in places other than this forum, like the internet for instance. Certainly in the motoring press. I’ve looked and can’t find any.
Also, there are people on this forum posting build dates and order dates that line up pretty well with mine. In some cases they’ve ordered a month later and their build date is only a couple of weeks after mine. So, unless you have a specific case where you have been told your car you have ordered has been delayed OR you pick your car up and it doesn’t have all the bits you ordered its all just hearsay and rumours.
Waiting for a Gen 2 GTS
God knows what's going on with the Gen2 GTS's
I have managed to jump on a Gen2 order the last couple of days which I was able to change the spec on.
Supposedly it was a June build and is due to be completed October.
I changed the spec from having air and 18 way seats to try and avoid delays.
just wondering how they are going to get gen3 S models out before Gen2 models complete.

I made a comment earlier about parts being taken from one car to get another elsewhere finished where there are shortages....... but what I meant by that is that these parts are only taken as the build of the donor car couldn't be completed due to other parts also being on some sort of back order so rather than had 2 cars unfinished for different reasons, they might as well only have one car unfinished for 2 reasons. Those donated bits and bobs would of course be replaced once all the backorder issues are resolved and before the donor car leaves the factory. I have been assured that my car will have all the options and features as per the original order ( I suspect there is some sort of obligation under contract law anyhow..... but that's an assumption).OmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Thu Aug 26, 2021 3:41 pm I’m sure I could be wrong here….but, if cars were being delivered with bits missing or not as ordered or massively late I’m pretty sure reports would crop up in places other than this forum, like the internet for instance. Got an update yesterday from my OPC that my Gen 2 GTS is still showing as leaving the factory on 30 Sep but it is now showing as having a chassis number so he is hopeful of the date coming forward. I have the 18 way seats specced too.

I'm waiting on an almost identical spec but without 18 way seats but with GTS crayon interior.
It was a June build expected October

I can’t seem to see your spec as it takes me to the German website?hood69 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 11:03 pmI'm waiting on an almost identical spec but without 18 way seats but with GTS crayon interior.

I placed my order in February originally told delivery would be July latest so if it does arrive October I’ll be happy with that.

From a previous post 800plus cars showing completion and at the Port but all have a code, ask your SE to check the “details” section on the internal system and it will show a code= “Semiconductor” = Delays.
I have a feeling we won’t see most of these cars until December or later.
No one knows so ignore any dates.

Sounds exactly the same as my experience. We were expecting delivery in August at one point, so we requested a delay until 1st Sept for the new reg plate. We sold the family car in prep in August and the following day got the call that it had been pushed back again. So we now have cars that are useless for 4 people to travel all at once and not a clue when we're to expect the new car we ordered back in Feb!! 1st World issues and all that, but it's still a ball ache!

Ordered in June, build slot was late July. Initially told September, now October delivery but that “orders are moving back and forward all the time”
More of an issue is seeing gen 3 has arrived in the uk while they still can’t confirm a gen 2 delivery date

Hi, for anyone interested my Gen 2 GTS is now showing build complete on the 22 Sep and on its way to the port for shipping. My spec includes the 18 way seats. Hopefully should have the car in about 4 weeks now I guess.
