Hi, anyone else in the same boat as me who has an order in for a Gen 2 car that has been delayed?

I put my order in in Feb and the collection date has been pushed back and back and is now end if September.

I’ve looked on the configurator and specced up my car again and it comes out at £5.5k more but for this I would get 21 inch wheels and air suspension. I think I would prefer to stick with my Gen 2 order even if I was offered the new car paying the price differential.

Anyone else had any contact with their dealers on options or is it a case of the factory will keep producing Gen 2 until all orders are fulfilled?

Exact same position and nearly identical timings to you except I’m waiting on my Gen 2 S.

When I spoke to the dealer he said it looked as though it may have started production / entered the factory but has a completion date of 30th Sept. so confused - when will they start building the Gen 3? Can they still finish a Gen 2 once the factory tooling is changed?

Yes 30th Sep was exactly the same date I was given. I was told the car had gone into the bodyshop but I can’t imagine this is the case as why would they want a half build car knocking around the factory in the way. I don’t believe the car will have been started to be built at all and therefore with the August shut down when they usually will change production lines etc. I can’t see how they will complete gen 2 orders.

Exact same boat mate…

I’ve emailed my dealer so will let you know - maybe you do the same and we can see what comes out of it?

Anyone else?

Picked mine up yesterday from Perth OPC, who volunteered that supply of parts is still an issue for the Porsche (not just Macans) and was likely to get worse before it gets better. He did however state that all Gen 2 orders were being honoured and Gen 3 deliveries will slip almost certainly slip to the right.

I am pleased to hear that existing orders are being honoured. Just got to play out the waiting game.
