Hi All. Looking at buying a Macan Gen 3 but first time we’ve purchased a Porsche (coming from Landrover previously). Had a brief chat with OPC on phone with a view to popping down in a week. They briefly discussed on phone standard is for a £10k deposit assuming around £10-£12k of options.

Obviously this will vary depending on final spec but just wondered the normal process here - can they dictate required deposit? Ideally we were looking at a £6-£7k deposit, funding the rest via standard PCP.

I know it was £10k for a new turboS last year so £10k for a Macan which is half the price is a bit harsh

At an OPC? Should be £3,000 max!!

Paid a £3k deposit at my OPC this morning. That’s for a Macan S.

Yep , £3k for me. They may mean the payment when it gets to the build stage. Thats 10% order value apparently.

I think there's been some crossed wires.... £3k is what the OPC will require to place your order - refundable if you cancel before it locks down. The £10k sounds about right if you're going down the PCP route (i.e. an additional £7k when you finalise the finance) depending upon the residual and your expected monthly payment.

£3,000 until delivered if paying cash.
