OPC just called to update me on my build - Lockdown date of 1st November & delivery date of 24th December for my new S.
Fingers crossed with no delays, she has said we could collect in between Xmas and new year! Happy days!!
Have you considered taking it on 1 Jan?
It will then be a 2022 registered Macan and you'll get a first full month's use of the road tax. Your OPC could deliver it to your home on NYE on trade plates or del vehicle.

I recall the happy day driving along the A6187 between Hathersage and Bamford when the call came to book the 14 July 2019 for my collection. I dont want to "pee on your chips" but I actually took delivery on 1 September and NOT because I wanted the new registration letter. I wish you luck but they have the water torture technique down to a fine art

BTW, I picked my last car up on the 27th December. Doesn't seem to make any difference in being able to sell it (i.e. a 2017 car rather than a 2018 car)

Just two observations:
1. If you wait 7 days your car will be a 2022 registration.
2. In around 3 years time there are going to be a number of Gen 3 Macans' up for sale probaby of 2022 vintage. It's not in your best interest competing with them with a 2021 car.

Easy to sell most secondhand cars in the current market, but will it command the same used value given it will be judged a previous year [older] car!
