I seen someone say on the Facebook page the price displayed on the configurator doesn’t include first year road tax etc and to expect another £2k ish on the price, surely not?!

sadly that is 100% correct. This got pointed out to me by my OPC when I put the deposit down

Having sold my Macan Turbo PP in 2019 after 2 years and driving an M5 since, I've put in an order for a Gen 3 Macan GTS.

Porsche never include on the road costs in the configurator price so yes you will have to add those to your final spec.

Ugh, with that cost which I was unaware of, plus the rise in cost from gen 2 I'm considering pulling the plug and waiting it out for a sensibly priced older model now.

Yeah that extra cost came as a bit of a shock to me as well ... think it was at least another £2K for mine.

Exact numbers on my Macan S (just signed off on some changes so I have the doc in front of me) :

12 months rfl £ 1,910.00
gov reg fee £ 55.00

Neither of those appear in the configurator. If you are getting finance you should also consider GAP Insurance. This is defiantly worth taking out else you could end up with a nasty bill of your car is written-off or stolen. I think that was about £650 if I remember correctly and lasts for 3 years.
