21" GT Design Wheels Satin Platinum

I am still messing around with my config before I finalise and am considering the GT Design wheels in Satin Platinum

In the configurator these looks quite dark:

.. but having looked on Youtube at a number of videos of Satin Platinum wheels, they look quite a lot lighter than this.

Does anyone have experience of actually seeing Satin Platinum in real life and how they compare colour wise to those shown in the configurator ?

Nice build. The Satin Platinuim is a lot lighter than on the configurater. If you look at the Porsche website, there is a few pictures of a Papaya S with Satin Platinuim wheels. Also look at the section showing the different wheels avaiable >Design> Wheels. I suggest with your build go for the gloss black wheels? Also with your spec, is a GTS maybe not better value?

Its a bit like the speedo on the S. it looks white on the configurater, but is apparantly the old silver one.

Would need to see them in real life. In the earlier generations Macans you could get the sports classic wheel in a satin finish which on paper sounded good but didn’t look good in reality.

Saw platinum GT wheels on a Crayon Cayman GT4 and it looked awesome so picked that combo for my final build.
Can't fit an inflatable kayak in a Cayman!!!!

I wonder what satin looks like when it gets a bit of brake dust attached. I do find it an in-between wheel "colouring" not offering the clear contrast of silver alloy, diamond cut or black.

I suspect they won't show brake dust much which is a good thing !

Papeto. the GTS is better value for money but it would be another £7k more for the spec I'd want, which pushes my budget way too much. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I'm not a great fan of gloss black. Now that I've seen quite a few videos of a range of different Porsche with Miami and satin platinum wheels, I personally think the contrast is awesome. The pictures from the Porsche web site also helped a lot (thanks again Papeto).

So, I think this is going to be what I choose. If I don't like the colour on the car when it appears next May (which I doubt), I can always get them spayed I guess.

They are much lighter than the Configurator. You get a good idea from this video
