I've had Race-Tex and Alcantara steering wheels on several cars. It doesn't wear out and only looks shitty if you don't keep it clean. Don't listen to anybody who tells you any different, they don't know what they are talking about - either that, or they never wash their hands!
GTS build dates
This GTS looks fantastic, except the interior colour wouldn't be my choice.
Can anyone tell if it's white or crayon ?
Thanks
Gary

Thanks Homerdog, good to hear your experience with the racetex. We expect to cover 6-8k a year so with a clean up now and then I'm sure we could keep the racetex in good nick.homerdog wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 9:40 pmI've had Race-Tex and Alcantara steering wheels on several cars. A bit of soap and water and it's as good as new.

I drive in Europe quite a bit and almost every hire car I have had in the last 3 months has had speed limit data logging enabled. Every time you go over the limit, it comes up with a message on the dash that says 'Excess speed event logged' or similar. Speed limiters are not enabled, but chatting to a people in the industry, they are coming to all new cars in June.MH82 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 5:45 pmCorrect, it’s 2024MattS wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 5:31 pmIs it May 2022?Raven Flyer wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 5:13 pm Colchester told us an order placed now would be summer 2022 at the earliest but some spec options could delay it further. We didn't want to risk ending up with one fitted with speed limiters and data logging, which comes in May 2022. PASM and pano roofs would delay the build.
So instead we bought a stunning fully loaded Volcano S with 5k miles on it.
I was under the impression its July 2022, and that's only for newly launched models. For models which have already launched the date is later on

Yep, that's potentially a grey area. After June 2024 the new EU regulations also include other compulsory safety equipment such as autonomous emergency braking, data loggers (black box technology), emergency stop signal, driver fatigue detection system, lane keep assist, built-in breathalysers which won’t let you start the car if you fail, and reversing sensors or cameras.Neil1911 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 1:32 pmPlease define a "new car".Raven Flyer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 12:37 pmI drive in Europe quite a bit and almost every hire car I have had in the last 3 months has had speed limit data logging enabled. No me, I'll definitely be getting my new S PPF'd and you can bury me in it, unless I get a smaller Porsche that's easier on the grave diggers!
