Hi, new to the forum!
I had a turbo blue Audi S5 Sportback on order but after having two 718 Caymans (Miami blue then lava orange), I felt the S5 would blend into the sea of Audis on the road and doubts were setting in. I like sporty, bold cars that stand out, and the Macan kept niggling away at me... I knew it's what I really wanted, so I called my OPC today to get an idea of waiting times. I was originally told 9 months, but the sales manager got in touch and has given me a Q1 build slot with delivery end of Feb/March as I'm a return customer, and that's all it took to persuade me.
So, S5 order is now cancelled and I have a new Macan on the way instead!
Here is my spec: http://www.porsche-code.com/PNWBYXN0
I couldn't justify the price increase of ordering an S, as 265hp is enough power for the type of driving I do, so I've stuck with the base and kept to a budget of around 55k. I absolutely love Miami blue and have had the colour before and have yet to get bored of it, but I've accented it with lots of black features for that aggressive sporty look.
I sold my 718C last month and am rocking around in a little Ford Ka (the S5 was due next month), so the new wait until March is going to be a killer. But I am mega happy that I've taken the plunge and made the change!

Miami looks great combined with those GT wheels. At least you have a car to get around in as I sold my 718 Boxster T in August and should have had my Gen 3 2.0 Macan by now.

21 inch wheels and no PASM? That'll generate some discussion!

I bet! I rocked around in both Caymans with 20s and no PASM and found the ride absolutely fine though

Hmm also just double checked the configurator and it’s not an option to spec on the base Macan anyway! Strange.

Enjoy the wait and the Ka , I rocked around in one for a few months back in 2004 while waiting on my first 986 Boxster.
I do love the 21s on the Macan although I can’t help think these days 20s have that little bit more compliance and comfort on our pothole ridden roads
