Hi everyone - as many of us eagerly await our new Macans, so thought it’d be nice to setup a thread for those fortunate enough to have taken delivery of theirs to upload/links to videos. They could be of taking delivery, walk arounds, mini reviews etc. No expectations of Top Gear style vids (although you can if you like!) but there’s so little out there at the minute, I thought it might be nice to see on here…

Ok. So it’s not a Macan but I can’t help the fact I had to go bigger.
Collected my Cayenne GTS today. It’s very big! But absolutely love it and managed to get 26 mpg out of it on the long drive home which was pleasing. Might have made a mistake with the alcantara steering wheel, but very happy with the rest of the spec.

A couple more. The V8 sounds absolutely incredible. The neighbours are going to love it!

Why do you say you might have made a mistake with the steering wheel? I was thinking of putting this, and the same gear stick on my Macan GTS?

Don’t get me wrong. I like it a lot, and maybe it’s just about getting used to it. Just felt odd after having leather for as long as I can remember.

Congrats and thanks for the pictures! Does yours come with PCM 6.0? Would like to know how you findit compared to Macan PCM 5.0.

How do I tell which version I have? It’s very different to the version on the Macan I had and, on the face of it, on the basis of a quick play around it seemed pretty intuitive (although I did need help from getting Apple CarPlay set up).

One feature I spotted when having a look around was the ability to change the ratios on the heated seats between back and butt which I’ll definitely be using.

The most complicated bit of tech I think (on the basis I never used it in the Macan) is getting familiar with the stalk that drives the ACC, PHC, Speed Limiter and anything else that it’s meant to do. That stalk is in an awkward position so I guess it will take some getting used to.

Also glad to see that although the central console does not have proper buttons, there is at least the need to push them and get a click for them to operate which will avoid turning on the wrong function. On an E-Peugeot I’ve been running, just brushing your hand accidentally across buttons turns them on.

PCM 6.0 has not been implemented in the Gen 3 Macan, this is the press release taken from the Porsche website:-

18/06/2021 The sixth generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) launches in the Porsche 911, Cayenne and Panamera models this summer.

Yes his car is a Cayenne, s o most likley he would have PCM 6.0.

If your PCM screen looks like this, you have PCM 6.0.
