You can see from my spec if I thought it was worth it I definitely would have ticked itPorscheMack wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 7:53 pmIt that case you've forgotten to tick the Bose box!!

You've spent £17.5k on extras without even updating the basic audio system. Now that takes some doing!!Jon A wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 7:59 pmYou can see from my spec if I thought it was worth it I definitely would have ticked it

Well thanks for letting me know, I suppose after 4 months on the confuserator it might have been an oversight…PorscheMack wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 8:21 pmYou've spent £17.5k on extras without even updating the basic audio system. Now that takes some doing!!
Seriously though the sound system is completely unimportant to me as I am not remotely an audiophile. I did listen to my mates standard system in his GTS and then the BOSE system in his wife’s Cayman and neither of us (or his wife) could tell the difference!
So as I’ve said many times - this is specced for me, not the next owner

Don't get me wrong I'm with you on this approach. But it just doesn't sit well with me when spending over £77k on a car and not having a specialist audio system included in the package; albeit at additional cost. Whether or not I'll be able to tell the difference is obviously subjective. But for £800 it'll be worth it to me.Jon A wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 8:31 pmWell thanks for letting me know, I suppose after 4 months on the confuserator it might have been an oversight…PorscheMack wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 8:21 pmYou've spent £17.5k on extras without even updating the basic audio system. Yes you have a lovely spec there, even if putting walnut in a GTS is doing MY head in!PorscheMack wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 8:59 pmDon't get me wrong I'm with you on this approach. I do think the GTS should have at least Bose as standard but really the choice is standard or Burmester for the true audiophile
Anyway, I’m determined to enjoy the drive, the engine etc I’m sure I’ll be happy with the sound quality of Talk Sport!

I'm just not convinced that when driving with the ACC on but not actually controlling the car's speed that it will brake me to a halt before hitting the vehicle or obstruction detected. Only on Saturday I was in that condition when the car in front executed a late left turn. The PAS warning shouted and brakes shuddered but I gained no sense that was anything other than brief wake up call. I'm actually not totally sure if I braked or just steered around the guy! shudderedHowever, I have a couple of suitable cardboard boxes and am tempted to set up a slow speed test, when the inclination and opportunity coincide with suitable traffic conditions. Don't hold your breath though

And contemplate how you managed to spend more than anyone else on this Forum on Options.. Well done. Yes i have spent around £5k more than average on my options. I can live with an extra £5k of my money in the context of a car that is either £65k or £70kPorscheMack wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 10:31 amAnd contemplate how you managed to spend more than anyone else on this Forum on Options..
