Summary:
The headlight pdls + have been removed as the standards are getting a good write up and we don’t live rurally or drive too much in the night.

Gentian blue is now the Mrs colour of choice alongside painting the side blade things so I’m c. -£80 after the above!!

Bose - stays for now although noted
Same for dimming mirrors

Re. surround camera over reversing camera my current F Pace is a bit bigger than the Macan and I find reverse camera fine.
Pics of gentian without body colour coding if it’s useful.
Very useful thanks - surprisingly not met with disapproval! Could be £400 banked and leaning towards ditching the dimming mirrors to!

That will take me to £66,140 so only a grand ish over budget - I can cope with that!

I don't think the cost of Bose is worth it as not significantly better than the std fit system.

I have never kerbed an alloy on either of my Macans using just the reversing camera. Found the Surround View disorienting on the test cars. Gen 2 and 3 now have a wash jet to keep the camera lens clear. Big improvement over Gen 1.
How do you use the wash jet ?

Just looking at this spec what do you guys think of the adaptive cruise control. I haven’t included this on mine because I’m not sure I’d use it much and am not sure whether the other features it brings might keep activating when unexpected. I’ve heard of the simplest things causing a sudden brake etc

On my wife’s Gen 3 the camera wash only seems to activate when in reverse gear

Good point and I certainly would t have specd it at double the price like it is on 911s etc.

The wife likes it historically and it’s standard on my GR Yaris so I have been getting used to it. I like it in areas such as average speed areas (loads round us) etc. to just follow the flow of traffic

I wouldn't be without ACC, had it on my S5 and its an option I will always have now.

You do get the odd phantom braking but its never been a big issue for us.

I've never detected its presence in my Gen 2. Usually keep a tissue handy for that reason!

I will investigate when I go out today.

Driving in winter on Country roads I find I operate my rear wash every time I use surround view which I tend to trigger by the diamond on the steering wheel if the parking sensors have not triggered it. If I have set the rear view from the screen before I am in reverse I still I think see the jet cleaning the lense. As I have said I will check today. Car Gen 2 2019 S
