Guys,
Received a call from dealership to let me know they now have a few gen 3 Macans in stock and did i want a look, blasted straight through to check them out, i had originally specced (on a GTS) PDLS+ really due to the “tinted lenses” to be honest after several direct comparisons back and forth between standard and + i really struggled to tell the difference visually, there was a slight difference internally with the + having marginally more black mouldings, suppose i was looking for much darker lenses.
Has anyone driven both in normal conditions who can give an honest opinion if they seen any significant driving difference, i know some guys have commented on differences on really dark twisty roads but unsure of daily driving advantage.
Does the GTS extended leather pack seats come with smooth leather on 8 ways? Dealership had a base and an S only.
Thanks in advance.
PDLS +??
You can get PDLS+ with or without the darkened tinted lenses. We’ve got it on our S without the tint and it gives dynamic auto high beam. Although it has to be initially activated manually and only works over 38 mph.
On a GTS i think you get darkened lenses as standard so paying for the + only gives you the auto high beam, no difference to tint.

PDLS+ in the twisties is good on a pitch black night but not vastly so.
Auto main beam dip is poor.
If I lived off the beaten track then yes I would include it, if not then for the occasional use it is questionable.
Age comes in as well, as an old guy I want every bit of help I can get.

Are you sure that the Standard lights are tinted on the Gen 3 GTS?

They definitely are but it’s another “seen you coming” scenario - no discernible difference to standard. Worth every penny…PorscheMack wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 10:30 pmAre you sure that the Standard lights are tinted on the Gen 3 GTS?
