I stand corrected! 😂

It’s a shame that your spec is now locked, Jon. ;)
On that topic I think I missed heated windscreen and potentially wireless charging, but I had to stop somewhere! 😂😂

Raceglaze do a superb Alcantara cleaner, only issue is when the wife/partner/you wear hand cream all the time and you have to clean it every month. It's a good hard wearing product though if cared for properly.

Kleynie wrote: Wed Jan 19, 2022 11:59 pm Well it’s the first time I’ve had alcantara on a steering wheel. I thought it was a natural product, could be wrong. I had it, and the seats, professionally steam cleaned and detailed when I bought the car. Now it’s just me or my wife who drive it, I think if I was to catch something from my wife it wouldn’t be through the steering wheel LOL
Alcantara is apparently about 68% polyester and 32% polyurethane. :geek:
Well there you go its either plastic or dead cow ... I prefer the organic stuff :D

I only specced the GT wheel as I wanted the smaller diameter (and on the Gen 2 it looked better imo) - have used the heating function once in the last two months. Wouldn't miss the heating bit but would miss the smaller circumference. I do think it should be a bit thicker as I tend to rest my hands on the bottom part and it almost feels flat, though I do also keep hitting the chrono stick out bit so i guess wheel can't be thicker ... oh well ...

I've specc'd the GT wheel and am leaning towards Chrono, is that something I should "test" before lock down?

It’s not a deal breaker, just a bit annoying for me. Maybe a bad habit, but in traffic or at lights I tend to rest my hands round the bottom of the wheel, as soon as the traffic moves off I’ll move hands back up to the horizontal spokes but usually I end up hitting the chrono with the tops of my fingers - and I don’t have large hands. You essentially have to keep your fingers in to get ‘around’ the extension and then onto the spoke - if that makes sense.

You’ll need an extended drive to test it out.

Sound advice, and a good excuse, if one were needed! It will also be a good "test" for my new SE.

Unless you have hands like Pat Jennings Gloves it shouldn’t be a problem.

+1. I’ve had GT wheel and Sport Chrono for nearly 4 years now. No issues. :)
