Heated and Alcantara for me. Great set up.
Not sure I’m sold on the whole “Alcantara” thing - is it not plastic by any other name? Also it strikes me as being a little unhygienic particularly on a steering wheel?
Not trying to be contentious here I could be very wrong and I’ve never had it so no real frame of reference- I’m sure I will be put right…

It's not the alcantara that's the hygiene problem - it's your hands.
Well it’s the first time I’ve had alcantara on a steering wheel. I thought it was a natural product, could be wrong. I had it, and the seats, professionally steam cleaned and detailed when I bought the car. Now it’s just me or my wife who drive it, I think if I was to catch something from my wife it wouldn’t be through the steering wheel LOL

Alcantara is apparently about 68% polyester and 32% polyurethane.

Re Alcantara, it is a brand name and yes it’s a man made microfibre material that is dearer than leather. Porsche are now calling their offering RaceTex which suggests they have found a alternative manufacturer for the supply? First time I chose it was in my Lotus and found it far more comfortable than leather. Not yet had on a steering wheel, does feel good though. Here is a description attached. https://www.carwow.co.uk/guides/glossar ... ntara-0518

I have it on both my cars and would definitely re-order again. I have a pal who replaced his Q7 and forgot to tick that option. His wife has been giving him a hard time since. Really worthwhile option for me. Now, if only they did heated gear knobs too...

I stand corrected!
It’s a shame that your spec is now locked, Jon.
