That's what I hoped - I did notice piano black, aluminium and carbon trims available as cost options and none of them really appealed, even if they'd been zero cost. Thanks all.

Thank you for the extra photograph #Wolands Advocate, and comments / views from all. I agree, the walnut is a bit too "Jaguar" for me (although I have seen images in which I do like it). Also think that the anthracite chestnut looks really good with the pebble leather.

Considered the leather option too. Now been to the OPC and have gone with carbon. FIngers crossed for delivery day!

I think carbon looks classy but if I was doing again I would probably stick to piano black and save the dosh…

No doubt soon there’ll be an option for an extra screen there, instead of a slab of carbon, piano black, aluminium, wood or whatever... ;) :P :D

A friend of mine recently bought a 2018 Macan and the interior was immaculate, apart from the piano black trim above the glovebox which looked as if somebody had taken a Brillo pad to it.

I don't normally like carbon-fibre trim at all in a car but the Macan Turbo I tested had it, and I found I disliked it less than I usually do - enough that it wouldn't have put me off a second-hand example that had it fitted.

Personally prefer the dark wood though.

Decided to play safe and stick with what I had seen and liked in the flesh. All three demonstrators at my OPC had carbon with different leather options, one of them including trim, wheel and gear knob, and it looked good to my eyes. Having gone for the Papaya exterior I didn't want to take any more risks! So trim and gear knob (not wheel) it is.

Might have gone for the anthracite chestnut if I had been brave enough (and budget had stretched) to go for the Papaya stitching and seat belts, as in the sample room as least the wood trim went beautifully with the paint - highlighted the chestnut in the wood grain I think, worked really well. But overall not the look I wanted, so...
