My first Porsche order
Until it silently and serenely glided to a halt…

Congratulations! Exciting times. I love my GTS steering wheel (with heating for me - cold hands) with carbon. And the shifter with carbon, and carbon instead of aluminium trim. I wouldn't be without the surround view. I also wouldn't be without the insulating laminated glass: I carry dogs and the clever glass cuts the heat by 50% in my experience. Also evidently is harder to break. I haven't tried this. I am also very pleased I added front and back cameras: Hull fitted them for £700 to match the West Sussex price. I heard about that price on this forum. I chose Papaya, but it doesn't sound as though that interests you at all. I had ATD Automotive, Beverley, apply a ceramic coating. I wouldn't be without it. If you fall out with Guilford, and I sussed three dealers before I looked at Hull, then I can recommend Matthew Symons at that (Lister) dealership. Have a great time configuring your car.
I guess it depends how you define quick - Porsche have never been a brand to go for the biggest BHP figures, which is true even with the 911 with comparable segments.
Their 'thing' is handling - which I feel is especially true with the SUV segment. Yup you could buy a GLC 63 that has 500+ HP but it'll feel like a boat in the corners.
Gen 3 Macan GTS: PPUAVS94
True, but throwing SUV’s through corners is not especially rewarding (even the Macan) but at least it feels less bulky than most.Plyphon wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 9:28 am

Macan is a very good SUV and I love mine, just not a sports car that’s all

It'll never get repeated on the road, but the way my PEC instructor had me throwing the Macan S around corners in 'Normal' mode too, was quite an eye opener.
I would never have thought it was possible to do it, but the Macan just ate it up

Macan S MY 2023
If you spec PTV+ on a 4x4 Macan, the only thing you will feel is £1,200 poorer…

15) brushed aluminium with pebble also seems a bit................meh
I have a gentian blue Macan with Pebble Interior and Brushed Aluminium... Not an obvious combination, it works for me.
