Hi, Tried to make a small change to my spec last week. SE informed me that it was frozen.

I'm getting impatient / excited now. How long generally, from spec frozen to delivery ?

Did you freeze your spec when advised?

Or

Did you freeze your spec shortly after your test drive?

Normally an SE advises that a final spec is due by date X.

Build date is c6 week later than date X and delivery after the build can be 7 days to 90 days, its all dependent upon many factors.

Alas some do not heed the advice given here and lock down far to early thinking it will hurry up the build, it will not, all it does is finalise your Contract To Buy. Up to lock down a deposit is fully refundable after lockdown it is at the discretion of the OPC.

The good news is that you have avoided the price rise expected soon…..

I was happy to get mine locked in a bit early to avoid a second price increase.

Col. the SE. was pushing me to spec early sept, which i did.

I just want the car ASAP. my current macan. Spec'd Mid March. received 28th April. So hopefully won't b too long.

If the SE was being upfront then the build is likely to be completed mid Nov.
