Wish I'd gone for black PSE - the chrome is impossible to keep clean. JayOne, any suggestions/ideas?

Hi Parson911,

I'm still waiting for them to be delivered (hopefully this Thursday they will be ready) will take pics for you all.

I have decided to order OEM Black Porsche badge which is on the new 991GTS models instead of painting the chrome ones, due to long term durability (don't trust the paint will probably chipwear over time). Also going to lower the Porsche badge by an inch as well personally too high for me (going to keep the debadge looks cleaner). When all done will post pics hopefully this weekend will be all complete.

Roy, I'm interested in the OEM black badge as well. Let me know how you get on with it?

Gazza - recommend the OEM porsche badge much better than painted/plastidip.

I have been using 'Motorex - Protect & Shine 645' on motorcycle exhausts for several years. Highly recommended.

Thanks, Roy - I agree that OEM is much better than painted and it looks like a very good job on your car. I will copy you shamelessly!

seriously mate do it, took 30mins max...made life easier using the existing badge as template to mirror instead of masking tapeoutline. Since the old badge was new the adhesive came off easily not hard (peeled off).

I like the black badge, actually looks very classy.
I know you have fitted it yourself, but what was total cost of the badge? Part No might be useful for anybody wanting to order one. ( I can see them going back order by this time next week!)
What size Allen key for the black trims? (Only so it will it make them quicker to nick) don't want to be fiddling about on your driveway!!! LMAO
