You spend your money how you want to but I wouldn't have two vehicles the same,
911 and a Macan sounds good but if your missis only needs a second car to pick up the kids looks like an expensive kiddy taxi to me but as I said its your cash.

Nothing wrong with two Macans. A Turbo and a diesel would make sense. Just make sure the colours don't clash. Big smile

and is it worth it for a second car that's only going to have annual mileage of 6K??

That comment I don't understand. We do fewer miles than that and our only car is a Macan. A Macan is a nice place to be (and if your wife is ferrying children, those miles may be done slowly and with lots of waiting).

My only comment is that to me a diesel is not compelling for a life of short trips, vis a vis a 2l petrol.

Wouldn't want two cars the same and if your wife is getting the SUV kiddie carrier I would get something much less practical and more sporty for you.

Thanks all for the replies.

I'd love a 911 , but I have occasion to travel on building sites! At the moment I don't think I could sanction such behaviour in a beautiful beast as a 911.

And unfortunately 'er in doors doesn't want to drive a "smaller car" whatever that means?..

Thanks wing commander, had it on a few cars now.

BrianR also might have a Point about the low mileage, she does tend to keep the cars she likes longer. So resale would still hold up quite well in a few years.

In that case Macan GTS/Turbo and Dacia Duster for the building sites.
Both great vehicle in their own rights IMO.

No to two Macans. Plenty of other things to try before you die. How about an F-Pace

We don't need 2 cars right now but have discussed the future possibility, and two Macans is definitely an option, funds permitting. If you have a car you both love, then why not get one each?Macandriver2016-06-20 21:41:33
