I had an email today to say that my build date was brought forward by 4 days, so it went into build on Monday rather than tomorrow (20th Jan).
I'm still collecting on 1st March to get the 17 plate. I had already booked a collection slot for 11am on 1st March at the OPC. Plus I've already hired a car up to 1st March (paid in full in advance).
If yours is going into build tomorrow, it may well not reach your OPC and be ready for collection until mid to late February depending upon all of the various transport connections etc...

I'd leave it until March 1st, get the new 17 plate. Up to you, the OPC will hold it for you.

Build date of 20th Jan, unless that's factory exit, is unlikely to be ready for delivery on the 5th of feb (although possible)
I'd still wait till March for the sake of 3 weeks....unless you're absolutely desperate to drive it, or you can get more for your p/x ....the residual difference (if it matters to you) will be around £500 odd.........

If it was me I would wait.
Easy one for me. You may have to find something to do for a few weeks but I am sure you can keep yourself busy on this forum.

Your Macan looks a really nice car.! enjoy it.!

One question i have though.. and something ive seen a lot of on the forum... is around getting a spare wheel.
Im not at the lockdown stage yet, but equally i hadnt given the spare wheel ordering a thought? Am i missing a trick or is there a benefit which im not aware of in getting the spare wheel over the powder 'thing' they give you instead?

Generally, peace of mind. If you're stuck out in the Boonies with no mobile signal and a tyre you can't repair with gunk, at least you've a chance to get home. Also £155 versus £500 retrofit is worth remembering. I feel happier knowing mine's there, just in case.

Good for you! Although I still think that 5th Feb collection from your OPC if it's only going into build tomorrow is optimistic!
When my build date was tomorrow, my OPC estimated getting the car in late Feb.
Keep in regular contact with your SE and then decide when you know they have the car. Geek
