Hi,

Thanks. Yes I'm veering towards RS too.

What I really need is someone to help me knock £5k off my build price!!

Which would be the best topic area to post spec help requests on?

If you are looking to knock £5k off I would stay clear of here LOL

Exactly!

Since joining this forum, I'm about to take delivery of my third Porsche!

The only thing that has cost me more than Porsche/this forum was my divorce!

LOL LOL LOL

I like your new red badge thing.

As mentioned, this is the place to add £5k to your spec, not remove it. If you want to save money, delete your log in details, delete the short cut on your computer and leave now!

Oh yes they really can be quite expensive! More so than a GT3 and a 911R and an Aventador and a Ferrari 488 etc. all together Cry

Has a Graph on colour choices been shown on the forum showing the most popular colour to the colour least chosen that.last few cars always chose Silver this time on GTS on order White. In the Porsche Brochures the GTS is nearly always shown Red or White. It would be interesting to see what
what colour is the most popular choice

We're just finalising the spec on my wife's Macan S2.

This site has been brilliant at pointing us towards what we should include, and what to avoid, so sincere thanks to all of you who've taken the trouble in the past to share your thoughts. But we've run into a bit of a problem - hence this post. Her last Macan SD was in Sapphire Blue and she loved it. She'd always intended to order its replacement in Carmine Red, but then she saw Miami Blue and fell for it. That is until she started worrying about residuals.

So, we'd welcome your thoughts: is Miami Blue a colour too far, one we'll have to "give away " come trade-in time? Or should we go with it? Help please!!

My own feeling is that Carmine Red looks great when new and clean but soon looks rather dull and I say that as a lover of red cars.

I don't see why it should harm residuals, lots of people like wild colours on Porsche cars and what is one person's dislike is another person's want to have. Personally, I wouldn't have Miami Blue but I had Night Blue and there were plenty of people happy to knock that colour. I loved it and it sold for a good price no problem. There are loads of people happy to knock any colour you care to mention but probably just as many who would love it so buy what you want for you and enjoy it.

Miami Blue why not, I think the only colours that tend to be slow movers and may affect residuals are Brown, Gold and often Green ( some still consider it unlucky?) it will certainly stand out but for most in a good way. My Macan is Volcano Grey but I also have a car in Daytona Blue ( similar to Miami ) makes me smile every time just to look at it. Let your wife have what she wants, you know it makes sense.

I think that Miami Blue looks great on the Macan! And the fact that quite a lot of the publicity images of the face-lift Macan are in Miami Blue will do no harm either! ...says the guy with a bright yellow 911!
