Thanks for the feedback everyone. I did test drive recently and found the reverse parking really straightforward in a fairly tight car park on my return - I do acknowledge the blind spot though, but I tend to be extremely thorough when reversing anyway. All good points though - certainly has me thinking about it.

Ref the lights- I'd added the Xenons, I only called them standard as they weren't the blacks/leds.

Interesting stuff on the E&D - I'd heard about the issues & agree that its a small risk, but one I'm happy with (live in a small northern town, got a very large dog). Interesting take on the key-in-ignition situation - I presume the dummy key can be taken out? The key part of this feature for me is to not have my keys thrashing around near my knee and damaging the surrounding area - having had keyless start previously, I just dont think I can go back to not having it (like 2 monitors vs 1 monitors for my computer...)

Col - I have a small amount of OCD tendencies and I've reviewed the leather options but just can't justify the £3k needed to get a colour combo I'm happy with. I'm planning on a 3 year PCP with a view to probably buy another macan at the end - mainly as I suspect that they'll be updating the car around that time (2020), but hopefully I'll learn what I can live with and what I can't - maybe I'll end up with the full leather on v2 in 3 years time :)

Cheers all - much appreciated

Great spec. Only additional bit I ordered is power steering plus.

I have entry and drive primarily for the wife - would I spec it again? No. Not for reasons of security but because of the stupid dummy key and I would much rather have a start/stop button (which apparently isn't Porsche purist)

Otherwise ise a pretty good spec

I wonder if that's ever happened.

I was considering this option and was dissuaded by the SE as he said this had happened to one of his customers.

The dummy key can't be removed. I have keyless start on my Panamera (comes as standard) referred to as 'Vehicle start without active key usage' 🤓

Really? I've just checked my Good to Know app, which says that the 'key' (control unit) cannot be removed.

Yep.

Look for "Performing emergency release of driver’s key/control unit"

I asked my dealer if it could be removed when I bought car № 1 and he demonstrated it.
Seemed like a faff so haven't actually done it since :-)
