My son received a letter from his OPC today inviting him to trade in his eighteen month old Macan S towards a new Manan with an implied short waiting time. Has anybody been given delivery times for the range of models in the Macan range?

Sounds like they have one in the pipeline with no owner for it yet.

Generally I think that about 5 months is getting typical.

Had they a cancelation I am pretty sure that they would have telephoned the likely ones for a change in car.

Worth taking them up and seeing what is what and what the trade in value offer is

I have seen the letter. If anyone is looking for a quick delivery it says:. We (Mid Sussex Porsche) currently have a significant number of brand new Macan models available for immediate delivery.

If dealers have Macans for sale "from stock", it does not say much for future depreciation :(

Just a hunch, but I wonder if most/all of them are SDs... 🤔

Probably correct. I was offered much quicker delivery on a new SD rather than the S I've ordered.

Perhaps they ordered a few extra pre March to beat the VED rise.

I was certainly offered a number of SD's in January for delivery in March to beat the VED increase

Put deposit down on a petrol S on 20 April 2017 and heard today that expected delivery date is mid-September. Much improved from original dealer estimate of December. Seems competition from F Pace, SQ5 etc is taking orders from the Macan.
