Hi,

I have a GTS on order and it should be delivered early September.

Leeds OPC have provided me with details of company Gen-3 Glasscoat regarding paint protection etc.

Gen-3 Glasscoat - £799
Although our cars are prepared to a very high standard prior to collection, modern water-based paintwork is very easily damaged by various environmental hazards. Our “Premium Valet” offers our Gen-3 Glasscoat ceramic paint protection system, which permanently etches a ceramic sealant on to the core of the paintwork and alloy wheels. Gen-3 Glasscoat’s ceramic chemistry is up to 10 times more durable than traditional paint protection products. Using modern ceramic technology, the Glasscoat effectively “teflon-coats” the paint surface and alloy wheels against road dirt, brake dust, birdlime, tree sap, insects, ultra-violet light, and so on. In addition, we also treat the carpets, leather and glass in a similar manner. This helps to protect the interior, for example, against food and drink spillages. Only Gen-3 Glasscoat comes with a standard 5 year guarantee, with no inspection or top up maintenance required. This means there is no need to wax your car for 5 years.

For more information please visit https://www.gen-3glasscoat.com/

1) Has anybody any experience of this company/product
2) Can anybody recommend a company in the Leeds area who have experience and a great reputation when it comes to detailing/applying paint protection products on new Porsche's.

Thanks in anticipation and as always really appreciate the effort people put into the forum its been very valuable.

OPC applied coatings are unlikely to include paint correction which is the labour intense element of the detailing process.

Please see our thread.

I cannot help re Pro Detailers near you.

Gtechniq CS is the most popular product with members here. You can get an idea of price nd Pro Detailers near you from the Gtechniq website then use that price in negotiations.

I echo Col's comment. For £800 you could get a " proper" detailer to do a much much better job. They will give the whole car a single stage polish to get rid of any paint defects / small scratches / swirls etc before any protective coat is applied; dealership valeters just won't be given enough time.
Can't help with th Leeds element of your question (sorry) but Jay1 is a forum member and his web-site is worth a look as it does explain the detailing process a bit better (other detailers are available😉)

Speak to Reep Group in Knaresborough. They are the Porsche Club GB Official Swissvax and GTechniq detailers and look after a number of Porsche OPC's.

I'm looking at getting my wheels GTechniq C5 sealed and possibly the front end protected with PPF Film which is a better protection from stone chips than a ceramic paint coating.

I totally agree that a specialist will spend more time and do a better preparation on your car before applying any products.
