Coming from a big fast saloon, the M5, little apprehensive about the change. Anyone else come from like an M5 into a fast SUV?

Will be glad to have 4wd back for sure!

I have only driven the Turbo PP on the circuits at the PEC, and following that drive I went into a 911 and seeing an Instructor drive a Turbo PP so fast that I could not keep up in the Carrera 4 GTS that I was driving then the power of the M5 will not seem quite that much different but the ride and handling of the Macan will be a very pleasant surprise for you.

The 1/4 mile acceleration times are not that different

Its a Wolf in Sheeps clothing.

Porsche tend to be conservative with their 0-60 figures too so you will find the Macan faster than you expect and the ride far superior to the M5. The Macan also does great duty as a refined cruiser when required and is a surprisingly competent all round package.

There used to be tight consumer protection laws so performance figures had to be achievable and engine output correct.

Not sure whether this could even be subject to weather.

The same didn't apply to UK produced cars unfortunately.

I've seen a couple of Autocar (?) tests from USA which suggest we may get close to 4 s 0-60 in the PP.

That doesn't surprise me as I've seen 4.6 0-62 for a GTS and, if thrashing it, that's believable.

Have only driven the standard Turbo, so that sounds promising.

Thanks everyone!
