Macan Petrol S vs Macan GTS
I wouldn't worry about residuals on either S or GTS, both should be very good. Our local OPC has a 1 year old used S for sale at no less than £67,500. It is loaded up with a lot of bling, but still crazy pricing and they usually sell their stock. Doesn't seem to be much stock of any used Macans around.
Waits have been all over the place and not so long ago:-
SD was 9 months
The S was on a very long period in excess of 12 months
The GTS started at about 6 months stretched so long that reputedly OPCs stopped talking orders and now both S and GTS are about 5 months.

I wanted black wheels , with S you can only get 21" (as standard option: £3316 -2016 price) which will require Air suspension (£1788)...
Liked the sporty look of the GTS , then it was £3K (Sportdesign kit) to have it on the S
LED , £1800 vs £465 with the GTS
painted side blades : £389 , free with GTS
etc etc
so at the end, I ordered a GTS as it was nearly the same price than a loaded S. so for me it was a no brainer. The GTS is the best value

I agree with you except on your 21' wheels comment, IMO you do not require Air suspension but you do need PASM as an option.Frenchy wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 8:39 pm I wanted black wheels , with S you can only get 21" (as standard option: £3316 -2016 price) which will require Air suspension (£1788)...

I put quite a few extras on my S, sports design etc but i did have an 18 month wait ! spec below.
6 months from it being allocated Porsche bought out the GTS
and I thought about it long and hard as it was not too much more expensive but decided I have waited long enough and stuck with my Petrols S. Which will be sold back to my OPC on the 30th August . Two OPCs offered me the same money and it was too good an offer to turn down.

On my March 2017 S, with pano, LED's, Air, Bose, full external Sp design incl mirrors, a total of £15k on options was still £5k less than the same spec GTS, it's not just a comparison of individual option price but total cost of the car. An extra 5K was no [problem but I prefer the non-GTS look. In particular the shiny window trim and body coloured spoiler. You could have any of the wheels painted black for around £400, however the choice is poor. It's good that we get so many options to individualise our cars, lots of differing tastes and Porsche probably make a significant profit out of us.Frenchy wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 8:39 pm I wanted black wheels , with S you can only get 21" (as standard option: £3316 -2016 price) which will require Air suspension (£1788)...
