Tested a 488GTB last week which I can get in about a year so may have to take a slightly deeper breath and go that way.

Ferrari just announced a 7% price increase from January which adds £13k to a 488 GTB, now a mere bargain at £197k before options. Mind you that's easily negated by crossing off one of the minor options from your spec ;)

The 488 GTB is a thing of beauty (currently my favourite car) but I doubt you could or would want to use it as a daily driver whereas a 911 is very much usable as a daily car.

Doubt I'll ever be in a position to splash that sort of cash on a car so, if you can, it's a no brainer to go for the 488

No contest 911 for me always - better value, more useable and less likely to breakdown. Friend has had several ferraris and everytime he took it in for a problem he got told by ferrari dealer that he does too many miles - 8,000 per year!

:D :D :D Isn't that the point of owning a car? I once went to a restaurant and they were very late getting us our table. We were starving (not literally) and we asked for some bread as we were hungry. The waitress told us that you should never go to a restaurant when you're hungry!
