Volcano or not
Not locked down on new Petrol S until January and wavering on colour. Was to be Agate but can’t help thinking Volcano looks smart. Originally dismissed Volcano as too close to black with all its attendant problems. Volcano owners how are you getting on with keeping it clean, showing grey primer under stone chips, avoiding swirl marks, water marks etc. Having had a black car in the past I swore I would never go dark again as I am so dammed anal about keeping my cars loooking good. I do use a water filter nowadays so not as concerned about water marks as I was.

Volcano isn't much darker than agate TBH, just a more brownish tone to agate. Had agate on my 981 and loved it, but think volcano suits the Macan a bit better (subjective I know).
Stone chips on agate always showed through as black on the 981.
I would recommend the G-techniq coating, it makes cleaning and keeping a shine on real easy.

Volcano is amazing, stealthy and also pops in sunshine. Great with any wheels and not that hard kept clean, after coming from several black cars

Love our VG. It wasn't available originally so we'd plumbed for Agate. We weren't entirely happy but, within the available choice, was the nearest to our wishes. Almost at the point of lockdown Porsche dropped Agate so the order more or less defaulted to the new colour - VG. As it's a much more neutral grey we find it much better. A bit darker but not too dark and without the erring to brown that Agate has. No probs keeping clean, swirl-free etc - especially having been GTech'ed.

My Macan was described as an OTT Porsche. Whether that was the VG, the Sports Classics or just the badge I will never know.

I prefer black cars but my wife wanted Volcano Grey so to ensure an ongoing easy life I agreed to get her choice of colour. Since getting the car I've come to really like the colour and its ability not to look too dirty when it is actually very dirty. I've had the car almost 12 months and only washed three times - I did get the car Geoteched and the car has lived most of its life in a garage.
I was going for a new Black when the nearly new VG came available and I didn't hesitate.
