Configuring a GTS order, after c 50k miles in an Saphire S Diesel with PASM.
Looking for experience based advice from drivers of similar ‘style’ - hence the history:

SD came on 20’s, and I later bought 21” Black Sport Classics.
Love the ‘meaner’ look & extra grip when pushing hard, although they are a little bit harsher on road, re-confirmed when I refit the 20s with Winter tyres.

Despite the extra harshness, I will keep the 21’s on the new GTS ( with 20’s in Winter) as I continue to accept the compromise for the performance & looks.

When driving alone, on PASM my default is c70% sport mode & 30% sport plus.
GTS won’t be a track car.

I like PASM, but thinking of speccing air, & found a brief test drive in a GTS with air inconclusive. Am going to book an extended drive.

Advice please....

Stick to standard springs. Air is a bit floaty for enthusiastic driving. Mine is set permanently on 'sport' damping but still occasionally feels like it rises and falls more than I'd like on undulating roads.

+1
I don’t think Air is necessary, especially on a GTS; it’s an expensive option just to reduce the ride height by 5cm😉

It does firm up considerably between sport and sport +, Nick. That said I never run mine in comfort because it is definitely too soft

Ran my GTS for eighteen months on 21" and never found it harsh even on some very poorly kept roads round here. Yes a bit well controlled with good road feel, but surely that's what you buy a GTS for.

Not needed on a GTS. I have 21" Sports Classics and no complaints about the ride and I always drive in sport suspension mode as I find comfort a bit floaty.

Not on a GTS, better to add Torque Vectoring for just over £1k.
