The consensus seems to be don’t bother ! Think I will spend the money on upgrading the leather instead.
Thanks fo all your inputs.

I specced it as I previously had an S and wanted more than cosmetic changes when I ordered a new S. I’ve only had it 6 weeks and the novelty hasn’t worn off yet. It does get to be an annoying drone at freeway speeds but if you’re restricted in the speeds you can do day to day it does trick you into feeling you’re accessing the power more if that makes sense. But having had a previous S without, that sounded great and the exhaust gets louder to my ears after a few thousand KMs anyway.

The sound on start up is only marginally louder with PSE.

Why don’t they make it really loud? I heard a Range Rover rip lately and it was the sound of Gods doing what I quite don’t know but it was awesome.

The petrol S I test drove had it and my wife and I ruled it out pretty much I’m immediately as a gimmic. In our opinion the car sounds great without it anyway. Given that PSE gives no performance advantage we didn’t think it was worth it. Besides, if it’s a choice between PSE and leather then, to me, it’s a no brainer. Leather wins.

Agree, black exhaust tips are nice but the PSE is not worth the extra £££

PSE on an S just not worth the money. At 9k miles now, mine has matured nicely, really raspy from a cold start for 30/40 seconds, and above 3500rpm sounds pretty good to me, quiet at cruise altitude. I have a short video taken in an underground car park but cannot add it to the forum. If you want a copy, pm me with your email.
