History seems to suggest that the GTS comes around 18-24 months after the initial models, but don’t know if that’s shorter in the second half of the model lifecycle. Either way, I doubt it will be available soon after the launch of the facelift.

You have 2 hopes of selling a 25k mile 18 month old GTS for £55k and one of those is Bob the other is no. If your SE told you that was a reasonable expectation then he/she is out and out telling lies. I doubt the OPC would expect to sell it for that although they do try it on a bit!
Personally I wouldn't buy a GTS to sit on the motorway and, as others have said, a lightly used SD may be the way forward at 15k plus miles per year

I still can't get better than 31 on a Motorway. Having said that there is no way I will sit below 70. As an experiment I achieved 40 mpg sitting at approx 50 on A Roads.

As you can see from my Fuelly record, I’ve achieved 40.8 mpg on motorway run in my SD.

I only broke 40 mpg on a few occasions, but regularly saw 35 mpg with the cruise set to 85 and blips up to 90 (kph obviously)
