Switching my order from SD to GTS
Very happy to see 15000 miles just tick over on my sept β16 GTS.......
(fuelly suggests Iβve spent Β£3600 on premium unleaded so far! - mixing me up with someone who cares about that sort of thing!)

Great stuff Paul, Macan's interior is just such a nice place to be. I just couldn't see me having a long journey in front of me and saying "I'll take the Quashqai, Golf, Hyundai instead just incase I lose some money come trade in time"
My 2015 SD is now over 35000 miles, I didn't buy it as an ornament.

It will cost more to run two cars than suffer the depreciation on running and using one Macan. Porsches are built to be driven so drive it!Andy352 wrote: βTue Feb 27, 2018 12:56 pm So the message seems to be, buy a lovely Porsche Macan but leave it sitting in your garage or driveway while driving about in a less lovely car just in case you might lose some money.
I think I'm on the wrong forum, maybe should be on Moneysupermarket.com.

I agree with the comments about drive the car and enjoy it. Even though I have only done 3k in just over 12 months in my GTS I am fortunate to have other cars to enjoy so the mileage is spread over multiple cars which is what keeps it low.
Based on 18k miles a year I would see if there is a Pre registered diesel which should carry a very heavy discount that fits your spec. This is coming from someone who has never owned a diesel for the reasons mentioned above.
Otherwise go with the GTS and enjoy it but I doubt you will get back what your dealer says in 12 months on it. you will enjoy it which is after all what itβs all about.
Otherwise we would all be driving a Hyundai Getz.... No offence to anyone who has one . You get my point.

Sod that for a game of soldiers!
When I trade in my Panamera 4 in April, it will have done about 17k to 18k miles in its first 12 months.
I don't plan on reducing my mileage when I replace it with my new Carrera T!
You only live once!

Our Macan GTS has averaged 20.6mpg according to the onboard computer having covered 2965 miles since we got it at the end of October 2017.
If it was going to do 15-18k a year I would also get a pre reg SD. Newcastle OPC had 2 in with 6 miles on the clock (Sapphire Blue and White) with a great spec inc. Sport Design kit, LED's, Panoramic Roof etc. with a Β£6k discount from new before haggling for a bit more.
