Wow, Rab! Simply stunning! Carmine is a really great Porsche colour IMHO!Rab J wrote: ↑Sat Mar 10, 2018 4:55 pm Called into the dealership yesterday morning just to check the progress of my 911 after hearing talk on here about deliveries being put back. The SE duly took me round the back and presented my with this which arrived on Thursday. It was good to see it in the as delivered raw to prove to me that it arrived unmolested. Now what to do??

Also somewhat surprised that your OPC hadn't let you know that your car had arrived?!
Needless to say, if it was me I would want to be in my new 911 TODAY!

The crap all down the sides really took some effort to shift, I think down to the fact that the council mixes molasses with the salt and grit they dumped on the roads last week. We need days of torrential rain and traffic to get rid of it. I found the wheels particularly tricky to clean after the easy SD wheels on the Macan.
VanB - thanks for the pics of yours being detailed. I wondered if you were going to have the wheels taken off for detailing, as they need to know what they’re doing with centre lock hubs and clearly they do. It will be interesting to hear how the coating affects the ease of cleaning the wheels.
I’m running mine in with Sport mode selected because it uses lower gears and keeps the engine spinning under light load rather than changing up into sixth at 30mph! (This is NOT a prompt to start yet another debate on whether or not these cars need running in!).
First impressions are gobsmacking, to use a technical term.
Are you getting yours detailed, Nick?

I promise to post further impressions once I’ve covered a few more miles but currently I have to say it has exceeded my expectations all round. I suspect Nick might say the same too
