Just speak to the dealership at the earliest opportunity and you maybe able to salvage your 3k too. As people have said, there won't be many cars around during the summer due to factory shut down so they maybe glad to have another car.

I'd speak to a few of the independents like Bramley, JZM, Redline and so on. They may be willing to take the car but sound them out before you speak to the OPC so you understand your options.

Yes, I believe the car has been built and is awaiting shipping! Gutted that i cant buy it anymore..
I asked because as far as I know they usually want the 3k topped up to 10% on confirmation of order.
Tom

This is not a universal action by OPCs.

For the vast majority the £3k is all that is needed until collection.

Its always best to check t&c’s of any car order.

I have never paid anything additionally to the deposit until collection on any car, my attitude would be its a deal breaker, there are plenty of other OPCs.

Agree on that. Initial deposit gets them to build the car, the rest is due on delivery. as Col says, deal breaker right there if advised otherwise.

I would not recommend this action.

Selling the car straight on to anyone could possibly result in being blacklisted by Porsche.

My understanding is:

If you have a change in circumstances and your spec is not OTT i.e pink paintwork with red interior your OPC may refund you as they would have a saleable asset, It's up to the OPC really.

IMO your turbo is heavily loaded with extras and if the OPC refunds you it may not be an easy sell for them, but you can only ask.

Best of luck

Did you order online or face to face in the dealership?
The Consumer Contracts Regulations - which came into force on 13 June 2014 and implement the Consumer Rights Directive - give you additional rights when buying online.

Not entirely sure if this is correct but I was told that if you have or are due to have any finance on a vehicle then you have an automatic consumer legal right to cancel with no financial penalty. I was in a Land Rover dealership, late last year, where a lady customer sadly lost her job on the very day she was due to pick up her new car that she had previously ordered several months earlier. The car had already been registered in her name. Since this happened on the day I was there, I tend to believe the story and according to the SE the garage fully accepted the situation, arranged for the car to be deregistered and immediately returned her deposit to avoid her any further heartache.
