I've been looking for a GTS for a couple of months. I have a specific spec in mind to narrow down the search and am to look a little further into the past (the GTS models came out in 2016) to get my preferred model.
They are a rare breed indeed -not many on the market and the ones that are, command a premium over the S models - and in some cases even the Turbo models. Dealers are hesitant to discount them but it's not out of the question. You won't get more than £1k off at the moment however. There are a couple of 66/17 plate examples that have been on AT for a few weeks now and I'm sure the salesman will budge a little to get the deal done.
Like the Col says above, the turbo (and the PP) is an absolute beast. Is there any reason you're not considering them?
Is this True?

Suggest you get dealer to knock off £500 and get the car professionally detailed instead.Skybudda wrote: ↑Tue Nov 20, 2018 12:12 pmoh dear, really? That's not good. Maybe i don't want it then. hmm. ok.CharlesElliott wrote: ↑Tue Nov 20, 2018 11:48 am Lifeshine isn't worth anything, so getting it for free is about right. It's basically someone washing your car for you.
Personally I would refuse Lifeshine on the basis that it would likely do more harm (because of the person applying it) than good, but then not everyone would agree with me!
You can buy the whole Lifeshine kit for about £10 on eBay.

Could you persuade them to throw in wheel/tyre insurance instead?

Agreed on a deal yesterday. I say ‘deal’ as that infers I had some bargaining power (other than walking away), which I didn’t! So bought the GTS at Cardiff. No discount off price but rubber matts, bootliner, coolbox, 6 months Tax, full tank and free delivery. I called Audi and they bought Q3 for £500 cash more than Porsche offered. Means the poor chap drives the car to me and takes 6 hours to get back home on trains. Margins must be tight at Porsche..

Sounds like a good result there Skybudda.
The only bit you got wrong in your last post was 'Margins must be tight at Porsche'!

You’ve got the car you wanted; no regrets, stop thinking about the price and just drive it. All thoughs of “deals” will vanish the moment you start the engine with the PSE open!
