The technical term is: Swivel Chair Integration [emoji38]Wing Commander wrote:^^^ Seems crazy in this digital day and age that the final build of your car depends on a sales administration person accurately, manually re-typing your order into a separate system.
Scope for human error or what!?

That doesn't make sense to me. Porsche deliveries started in November. There seems a steady supply of new cars with GPF to make them WLTP compliant. The embargo might have another reason.

Or better... in a final stage of integration testing, between the web-configurator and production planning! [emoji851]Paul wrote:....xmas hol / new year system update to increase option availability.....??

My order for a new Macan S and confirmed spec. went through on 17th December. I had paid a deposit of £3,000 back in February, when I first got in the queue. I am now worried that, due to 'Brexit and the possible fall in value of the UK Pound, that the price will or could soar astronomically. Do Forum members think it would be a good idea for me (and others in a similar situation) to ask if I can pay the balance now, rather than wait to see what happens in March ? Might there be a downside in so doing ?

^^^ I don’t think that would protect you from any potential price rise, plus you’re giving your OPC an interest-free loan...
