12 months...?!

4 week’s more like!!

(Started with ‘sensible’ Platinum Silver, then went crazy with Racing Yellow.). ;)
You are an exception to this rule as we all know 😂. Deposit for the 992 paid yet? 😉
Ha ha! Nope! Genuinely feel no desire to swap my 991.2 Carrera T for a 992. :)

Just over 11,000 miles covered so far in just under 9 months. 350 mile day trip to the coast planned for tomorrow to visit my daughters. Definitely my favourite Porsche! :D

1. spec it,
2. pay initial deposit
3. Get an order slot (date?)
4. Pay top up deposit when ???
5.
6.
7.
8. Take delivery,
You go into a dealer, request a test drive, if you like it you ask what new stock they have, they tell you, you agree one that is pretty much what you're after, pay the deposit, then a little later the balance, receive the car, drive away 2 weeks later and bypass the hassle of ordering and waiting. Boom, you're welcome.

What make are you talking about? Certainly not Porsche, except in a few cases of showroom cars being available and then the 'choice' is limited to one, usually!

My 2018 Macan S was bought using exactly that technique. It works.

Quite a few facelift nominal mileage 2.0 Macans now being listed on Pistonheads classifieds. I made a cheeky enquiry about a high spec one the other day. They were offering £4K off list.

2019. 718 Boxster T Carrara white.
2018. Macan SD Volcano.
2005. 987.1 Boxster S. Black.
2015 . Macan SD . Agate grey.

1. I have paid initial refundable deposit. £3k
2. OPC has allocated me an available 'slot' in February.
3. OPC has signed and asked me to sign the order form.
4. OPC has placed the order with the factory and given me one week to make any final amendments.
5. Does that then sit on someone's in-tray until it gets to the top?

This is normal.

Spec lockdown 6 weeks prior to build

So you are looking at an end of Feb build

Delivery to your OPC sometime during the last two weeks of March.

Smile on your face ear to ear say 1st April
