The engine in the Macan 'S' is from the current Audi S5/SQ5. I've had an S5 Coupe for last 2 years and it's a very good engine indeed and suits the Macan down to the ground.

Many thanks everyone! The Macan S is definitely a 3.0 v6 and I was already thinking about adding the power steering plus actually so thank you for that. It can also be retrofitted as it's a software update. Thank you All

^^^ Probably very similar to the 3.0 V6 that I had in my 2017 Panamera 4 too. And it was perfectly effective at propelling that large & heavy car around quite nicely! :)

Interesting that it is Porsche formally leading the change here, heard nothing as yet from rest of our European car makers? That said most others can/do give double digit discounts. I can see a few buyers holding back until this is clarified.

The Big question being would you pay 10% more or does that push you to consider another alternative? Fancy a poll coming on

So the papers say dealers may charge another 10%....? Or they may not.....?
...they always could alter price as long as they informed you, giving you the option not to proceed....
I can’t really see what’s changed to warrant this headline, other than it’s being drawn to the customer’s attention a bit more clearly?

The change is that a significant price increase is far more likely in the current climate than would normally be the case. Something about us leaving the EU I think.
