Getting a bit frustrated now with all this talk of delays and later & later deliveries, especially since having a deposit down since last Jan 2018 (moved GTS order to a facelift S)!
I’m still having the usual battles with the Configurator. I cannot believe that the 360° view seems to be unavailable no matter which operating system I use, it’s not as if it is a difficult software technology, judging by its common use by so many other manufacturers!
My Porsche code is PK1QF9N7 at present, but I still have some concerns as always.
I have specified 21” black Sport Classic wheels, but have been quite impressed with the new 21” Turbo Design. They look so much better in real life then on the configurator, especially as 3D view can’t be used. It seems to me that Sport Classic wheels look great against Volcano Grey only when they are really clean and shiny, otherwise seem to look uninspiring. I am just concerned that the turbo wheels look a little bit bling. Would welcome any experience or advice.
Was thinking about splashing out on Air suspension so I test drove two Macans recently, 20” with Air/PASM and 21” with PASM only. On the local potholed roads and humps I could not really detect significant difference in everyday driving, so have not included that. Although not relevant to me, I was impressed with just how high the car with Air can be pumped up!
Quite like the greyed out rear lightbar, but not for £430.
Have specified Power steering Plus, but have since been told it’s not really necessary.
TBH, with hindsight, I think if I had found another car I liked I should have bought it and come back to Porsche when all this faff is done, just fed up with getting dates repeatedly pushed back.
It may be worth the wait, but I think if it carries on I will bail out, even after over 12 months of playing on the configurator!
Cheers

Understand the frustration!
Can’t speak for your other queries but, if you ever get there, the PAS plus bit is a simple software upgrade which can be carried out by the dealership (for a fee of course) if you do find yourself struggling at parking speeds.

If you find yourself struggling at parking speeds get to a gym or see the Doctor. The steering is in no way heavy even at parking speeds and a number of our glamorous lady members have confirmed that they do not have an issue without PS+!

LOL! +1. Btw, this "option" is the biggest con on the list! Nonetheless, I doff my hat to Porsche and its marketing for getting as much as they have from it!
I know what you mean - I waited over a year for a new Cayenne and there was a lot of re-configurating in that time! Have now switched that order for the Macan S but if this takes too long I might just go and find something electric instead.davetronic wrote: ↑Thu Jan 31, 2019 1:05 pm

I do like the look of the new 911 Turbo wheels although I think that they look better when combined with darker paint

...I actually found the latest 21” 911 Turbo wheels on my Carmine Red Panamera 4 surprisingly easy to clean.
