Door Cills
Looking at the cars on the forecourt at the OPC I found an 18 plate Macan in Volcanic Grey with Pebble grey interior (on my spec sheet), I note that the cill is also in pebble grey and looked very vulnerable, it was last years model, I presume this years model is the same? What options are there for protecting this clean pale grey from muddy boots?
That's a bit daft! Bound to get filthy from wet shoes/muddy boots - even clean shoes would scuff the plastic trim. Black is bad enough - I'd avoid it

I really don't understand why anyone would be up for that interior. You're asking for a flogging on that.Fairynuff wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 2:56 pm Looking at the cars on the forecourt at the OPC I found an 18 plate Macan in Volcanic Grey with Pebble grey interior (on my spec sheet), I note that the cill is also in pebble grey and looked very vulnerable, it was last years model, I presume this years model is the same? Plenty of other stuff out there...but you’ll be a slave to the rest of the interior (not to mention the Agate brown dash)

Porsche interiors have always baffled me a bit with their colour choices. Other manufacturers seem to better understand contrast and practicality when it comes to lighter coloured schemes. IMHO that would look so much better and more practical with some contrasting darker trim and the door cill should have been a no-brainer for that!
For that reason alone I've always gone for all black Porsche interiors, which can be a bit depressing but at least it works.

Looks lovely but I do like an unusual interior - eg the Boxster 981 I specced as a factory order in 2012. It did help me sell it 2 years later as the independent dealer I sold it to liked to have something different in his showroom.
2021. Macan 2.0 Gentian. 12/21
2019. 718 Boxster T Carrara white.
2018. Macan SD Volcano.
2005. 987.1 Boxster S. Black.
2015 . Macan SD . Agate grey.
2014. Macan SD . Jet black.
2012. 981 Boxster PDK . Agate.
2010. 987.2 Cayman PDK. Aqua.

I love a good flogging, ideally naked and in public!! Pebble is my (our) favourite interior, although Ivory/Cream as in the Panamera would be preferred, had Pebble on Macan No 1, could not live with brown or standard black, (perhaps GTS with red piping), Won't have Luxor Beige again, it could look a bit orange at times, they now offer a different shade of Beige, so Pebble it has to be on Macan No 3, (no pano roof), but the Agate dash is really awful, why not black? Light colour interiors are no problem at all for us, no kids, no muddy fields and when scuffed the sills are easily cleaned, especially if they have protective treatment on them. A public flogging? - bring it on!
