Porsche are the most profitable car company in the world and we already pay well over other brands for the pleasures but would this tip the balance for you and would you be prepared to pay more or seek alternatives.

Won't most of the alternatives end up with a similar price increase anyway?

No need to pay more as they will offer you more for your p/ex as the second hand prices increase in line with new price increases......... πŸ€”

I thought people on this forum had experience with Porsche dealers, from your comment, that does not seem to be the case!!

Notice that the press release from Porsche states........anyone who paid a deposit prior to 17/01/19 will be exempt from the increase.
The 10% tariff should surely only be applicable to the invoice value of the vehicle when it is imported, ie on the price that Porsche Germany charge Porsche UK, not the retail price that UK customers pay?

I was told this by my OCD when I paid my deposit on the 20th Jan  Tbh though, all other non UK car manufacturers will probably pass this cost onto the customer as well, so unless you buy something made in the UK or something already in the country, this is going to have to be paid.

Only bought my current GTS in September so based on how long I kept the other 2 I've still got at least 18 months till I think about the next one.

We don’t have a trade agreement with USA and I assume therefore we already pay 10% import duty on the BMW X5. Plus at the moment we hand over 80% of all import duties collected to the EU which after we leave EU we will keep 100% of all import duty collected.
